Concern for emissions and need for fuel economy necessitated the development of Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid (DCTF) with fuel economy potential up to 15%, compared to manual transmissions. Volkswagen made DSG fluid. Several others like Getrag made such systems which needed a special fluid. DCT Fluid is an ultra-premium, synthetic automatic transmission fluid designed to service most DCT systems like VW, Audi, Getrag & BMW
